Derwent pre-lets over half Angel site

There was good news for Derwent London today as the central-London focused property investor sealed a deal to let more than half of a London office development to Cancer Research UK.The charity will rent 139,500 square feet of the block near Angel tube in Islington, not far from the St Pancras Eurostar terminal and a brisk walk from the City, on a 20 year lease.Derwent said it is due to finish reconstructing the Angel Building, acquired as part of its merger with London Merchant Securities in February 2007, in two years time.It gained planning permission for the redesign of the site that will add another 101,000 square feet earlier this year.
